John Dramani Mahama, Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on voters to refrain from a ‘skirt and blouse’ voting pattern in the December 7 General Election.

He emphasized the importance of securing an overwhelming majority for his party in both the presidential and parliamentary races.

Speaking at a mini rally in Akotombrah during his campaign tour of the Western North Region, Mahama urged the electorate to resist being influenced by short-term incentives and handouts from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He encouraged voters to make their decisions based on long-term solutions for the country’s growth and development.

“We don’t want any form of skirt and blouse. I’ve travelled to many places and the impression from the NPP is that they know JM will be successful in the presidential election.

“So they are going about telling the people, ‘We know JM will win the presidency, however, vote for us in the parliamentary elections’. No, don’t fall for that”, he stated.
