Eva Koranteng, a trader at Suhum Market, has made an urgent plea to the government to address poor sanitation and difficult business conditions in the area.

During an interview on The Constituency on Channel One TV, Koranteng emphasized the challenges traders face due to inadequate facilities and economic pressures.

A primary concern is the state of the market’s public toilet, which she described as unsanitary and harmful to business.

“We have many challenges, but the most pressing is the stench from the toilet facility here. It’s unbearable. When it rains, the area floods, making it impossible for us to conduct business,” she stated, calling on the government to address the issue.

Koranteng also expressed concern about rising business costs and stagnant sales, which have impacted traders’ livelihoods.

“Running a business is becoming very expensive, and sales remain low. I just hope things will improve as we approach the elections,” she added.
