The Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong, has declared strong support for Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming 2024 general elections, affirming that the region is ready to “massively reciprocate” Bawumia’s years of service.
Speaking on the Point Blank segment of Eyewitness News on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Acheampong commended the Vice President’s dedication, describing him as a leader of the people’s trust and appreciation.
Acheampong emphasised that the Eastern Region’s commitment to Bawumia is rooted in appreciation for his consistent support and leadership over the years.
“Unequivocally, I can say without looking elsewhere that the vice president has demonstrated that, yes indeed, he is the person we can trust and work for. The vice president, whom I have known since I was a member of parliament. He came to my constituency throughout the three terms I have been serving the people of Mpraeso. Every campaign season, he came down and worked with us and so he is known in the constituency.
“I am making this analogy to affirm the support the Eastern Region is going to overwhelmingly give the vice president because he has served, it is time for us to return the same stewardship he offered us. So, it is just reciprocal that we will vote massively for the candidate of the New Patriotic Party,” he stated.
