The Director of IT and Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr. Omane Boamah has assured the youth of the country that the NDC under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama will abolish the E-levy, Emission Tax Betting Tax and COVID tax and move the country from taxation to production.

Speaking to community members at Nyanoa in the Upper West Akim Constituency as part of his 5-day campaign tour of the Eastern Region, Dr Boamah indicated that over 1 million Ghanaians women will benefit directly from the women’s bank being proposed by the party in its manifesto when John Dramani Mahama takes over the reins of the country.

He maintained that the 24-hour economy will ensure that more Ghanaian youth are enrolled on the country’s security agencies.

“John Mahama and Teddy when voted for will ensure that they abolish E-Levy, Betting Tax, Emission Tax and Covid Tax. In place of these taxes, we will introduce jobs through the 24-Hour Economy policy”

“Consider the number of people we are going to employ in the security agencies because, at night, we will need the services of security. We estimate employing 20,000 people in the police service of which the people of Ayensuano will get your share. That is why it is necessary to vote for John Mahama and Teddy Safori Addi.

“The women’s bank is coming to address women’s concerns. All that is needed is for you to register, and indicate the work you do, we render training on how to effectively go about your work and then we give you the loan.

“One million women will benefit from loans from this women’s bank. As a woman, while you gain from the 24-Hour Economy policy, you can also secure money from the women’s bank to work.”
