President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reiterated his unwavering commitment to ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections in Ghana.
Speaking at the National Farmers’ Day awards in Accra on Friday, November 8, the President underscored the importance of protecting the nation’s democratic legacy.
“Let me make one thing absolutely clear: I am unwavering in my commitment to free, fair, and transparent elections,” President Akufo-Addo stated.
He described Ghana’s democracy as a treasure that has been built through collective effort and must be safeguarded for future generations.
The President assured citizens that the sovereign will of the Ghanaian people would be upheld, warning that any attempts to disrupt peace or undermine the democratic process would be met with the full force of the law.
“Ghana’s democracy is a treasure we have all fought to build and it is a legacy that must be protected. The sovereign will of the Ghanaian people will be upheld and any attempt to disrupt the peace or undermine the democratic process will meet with the full weight of the law.”
“Let there be no doubt, our democracy will remain strong, and the people’s choice will prevail—not that of any desperate, ambitious politician or party,” he declared.
