Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in parliament have called on their counterparts in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to prioritise government business that serves the interests of the Ghanaian people.
This appeal was made by Kwame Agbodza, the Member of Parliament for Adaklu, during an address to the media.
Agbodza emphasised the importance of collaboration in Parliament, stating, “We shall take our rightful place in the chamber and wait for whatever businesses may come.”
“Our advice to our colleagues in the minority NPP is to try and prioritise business that is in the interest of the people of this country, and they shall find favour and cooperation with us in trying to deal with those businesses.”
He assured the NPP that the majority NDC caucus is committed to supporting initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Ghanaians.
“As long as the business is to improve the lots of Ghanaians, you can count on the majority NDC caucus in Parliament to pass those,” Agbodza added.
