The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has alleged that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has plagiarised his policy proposal to support poultry farmers and is using it in their campaign advertisement.
Mahama claims that though the NPP initially criticised his idea of offering incentives like day-old chicks to poultry farmers, they have now adopted it in their campaigns.
While campaigning during a rally at Kpassa in the Nkwanta North district of the Oti Region, he reaffirmed his commitment to creating job opportunities, something he believes the NPP has failed to prioritise.
“I saw a TV commercial by the New Patriotic Party claiming they would incentivise the youth to go into poultry farming, but this has long been an NDC policy.
“We proposed giving day-old chicks to young people so they could grow them into sustainable ventures. This morning, I woke up to see they had plagiarised our policy,” he stated.
