Dennis Miracle Aboagye, Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, has challenged former President John Dramani Mahama to a public debate, if he seeks answers from Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate on his recent questions directly.
Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, recently raised a series of questions for Bawumia, focusing on pressing economic issues such as the exchange rate, national debt, inflation, and Bawumia’s perceived shift from economic management to prioritizing digitalization.
In an interview on Point Blank, a segment on Eyewitness News, Miracles Aboagye called on Mahama to engage in a live debate rather than posing questions from a distance. “If you want answers to your questions, come for a debate,” Aboagye urged.
He affirmed that the Bawumia campaign team is ready to address Mahama’s concerns in a live forum, where both candidates could discuss their plans and visions for Ghana’s economic future directly.
“Why is he running away from a debate? In my statement, I didn’t say we were running away. I said we would respond. He should come for a debate and hear his responses. He [John Mahama] is the one who has refused to debate,” he stated.
