The Convenor of Democracy Hub, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, is still in Police custody due to his inability to procure sureties to sign the bail bond, Police sources have revealed.
On October 16, 2024, the High Court granted the accused person bail in the sum of Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 20,000) with two sureties without justification.
According to sources, attempts by the Police to get the bail executed have proved futile due to the inability of the accused person to procure sureties.
Oliver, however, on Friday indicated to the Police that he may be able to procure sureties next week to sign the bail bond.
Lawyers for the accused person have accordingly been informed of the situation.
