Tragedy struck in the Upper East Region when a military vehicle carrying personnel from the 11 Mechanised Battalion in Bawku was involved in a fatal accident around Binduri.
The impact was severe, killing one officer on the spot and leaving five others with severe injuries
Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle, with registration number 15 GA 04, was travelling from Bawku to Bazua when it suddenly veered off the road and somersaulted multiple times.
The injured personnel have been rushed to nearby hospitals, with some taken to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital and others to the Tamale Teaching Hospital
