Parents have been advised to allow their children to explore their talents and interests, particularly in theatre and drama.
Movies actress Jacqueline Ama Ansah, who was speaking on The Chat show on Channel One TV, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, stressed the importance of giving children the space to uncover their passions, noting that it can lead to growth and development in areas parents might not initially recognise.
Ansah emphasised that once a child shows a passion for a particular activity, parents must support and encourage them to pursue it further.
“My church, we are trying to revive that because it helps you to know your child’s interest. Some people get to that platform and they get to know that they love that.
“So, at every recital, you can see some familiar faces and then you realise that the person is good with what he or she is doing and I think if he or she pursues it further it will help.
“So, we should allow our kids when there is a recital at church, or in school. At the least opportunity, let them explore you may never know,” she stated.
