The Ghana Police Service has confirmed that investigations are ongoing into the violent disturbances that erupted between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Mamobi in Accra on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
In a statement issued on Monday, the police assured the public that they are working diligently to bring all those involved to justice.
So far, one individual has been arrested in connection with the incident. Authorities are continuing efforts to identify and apprehend all perpetrators involved in the clashes.
The police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and order and ensuring that those responsible for the violence face appropriate legal consequences.
“So far, one person has been arrested in connection with the incident and the Police are working around the clock to get all identified perpetrators arrested to face justice,” part of the police statement read.
