There’s a massive gridlock on the Anyinam Jejeti stretch of the Accra Kumasi Highway in the Atewa East District of the Eastern Region.
Passengers and travelers have been stuck in traffic since 10 a.m.
Channel One News sources confirmed that the gridlock is a result of three cargo trucks that have all developed mechanical faults on the stretch.
The situation has left all commuters stranded, with the traffic stretching far through Asamang Tamfoe, Ankaase, Osino, to the Bunso junction.
Personnel from the MTTD who have been deployed are still working to control and direct traffic, as finding alternative routes has not been successful.
