A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident on the Kanda Highway on Tuesday, October 8. The driver of a Toyota V8 struck the victim around 8:30 pm before fleeing the scene.
According to eyewitness Shaibu Danjuma, the driver momentarily stopped but departed without assistance.
Police have removed the unidentified body to a mortuary.
Residents lamented the recurring accidents on the stretch, attributing them to inadequate street lighting.
