The Ghana Highways Authority has announced that scheduled maintenance works on the expansion joints of the Atomic Bridge will commence on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

The repair works, which are expected to last until Tuesday, October 22, 2024, will focus on ensuring the structural integrity of the bridge and improving safety for all users.

As a result, there would be traffic interruptions. Motorists are advised to adhere to the traffic management systems to be put in place by the team of engineers from our bridge Maintenance Unit of the Ghana Highway Authority as they work on the overpass.

“Motorists are also advised to use alternative routes if possible. Our team of engineers will start work on Thursday the 3 October 2024 and end on Tuesday, the 22nd October 2024 from 08:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m. daily. For updates or further information, please contact the Public Affairs Division of the Ghana Highway Authority,” the authority noted.
