The highly anticipated Citi Business Olympics is set to return on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Eden Heights Sports Complex near Weija.
Blending fitness with business networking, the event continues to attract major sponsorship from leading corporate entities eager to showcase their brands while participating in physical and social activities.
One of the key sponsors, Lesfam Company Limited, producers of Peeva Beverages, highlighted the business value the event offers.
Frank Adjei Mensah, CEO of Lesfam, shared that their involvement in a previous event, the This is Ghana Exhibition, resulted in a significant contract from one of the attendees.
He encouraged other corporate organizations to participate in the Business Olympics, highlighting it as an excellent opportunity for companies to network and build valuable connections.
“When we decided to be on board, I got calls from my friends and I told them that this is a very good opportunity for us to come and exercise. Because our days start very early in the morning and we leave very late in the evening. Even though we are all chasing money, if you don’t take time you will lose yourself. An event like this, apart from the exercise, also comes with a big community of businessmen. It will shock you that some contracts will be signed over there.
“We got a contract when we sponsored the This is Ghana Exhibition; somebody gave us a big contract and if we had not been there we would have lost that. So, it is a good opportunity for all the corporate institutions to come over, let’s talk. We are a wholly owned Ghanaian company, there may be other Ghanaian companies out there as well and this is a big opportunity. Please if you’ve not registered, we have 48 hours to go, you can also register,” he stated.
Bethel Logistics, another sponsor, also recognized the value of being part of the Citi Business Olympics. According to Andrews Teye, Business Development Manager of Bethel Logistics, the event is a strategic avenue for boosting brand visibility.
The Head of Programmes Production for Channel One TV/Citi FM, Apiorkor Seyiram Ashong–Abbey, highlighted the significance of the venue and the event’s unique opportunity for networking.
“In case there’s been anyone who has been hiding under the block or somewhere in the Aburi mountains and is hearing this for the first time about the Citi Business Olympics, then these are the details for you. On Saturday, September 28, we are going back for the third time to the Eden Height Sports Complex near Weija, around the West Hills Mall.
“Our reason for going there is that it is a safe community, and it also has amazing real estate they have put up there we want people to go and see what apartment living can be like from the Ghanaian perspective. Also, the sports complex is so classic, she added.
“It is also a good place for networking, we can’t stress that enough. Yes, we are doing the exercise once a year but the networking is golden,” she added
