Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has hinted that Ghana will roll out the credit scoring system next month.
This initiative according to him, is designed to make life easier for Ghanaians by enabling them to purchase items on credit and pay over time.
Speaking to party sympathisers in Upper Denkyira as part of his tour of the Central Region, Dr. Bawumia emphasised that the new credit system will help transition the country from a cash-based economy to aid the government’s ongoing efforts to digitalise the economy
“We now have the Ghana card and the proper digital system. Today, everyone has a bank account so we have also ticked the boxes to implement a credit system. I had wanted to implement it next year but a lot of work has gone on. So, Intend to launch it next month,” he stated.
