Two more protesters from the Democracy Hub were arrested by police on Monday, September 23, at 12:08 p.m.
The two men stood on the pavement near the 37 Lorry Station for over an hour before daring to stand directly in front of the police with their placards and sentiments.
They stated, “You can arrest more of us, but even if only two of us remain, we will stand up against illegal mining.”
They were immediately whisked away by the police. This brings the total number of people arrested during the three-day protest to 44.
