Hiplife Artiste, Maradona Adjei Yeboah, widely known as Guru NKZ, has emerged as the winner of the University of Ghana Student Representative Council (SRC) elections, held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
This comes after he polled 9, 455, representing 50.7% of the total vote cast.
It can be recalled that Guru on August 16, was disqualified from the SRC race on the grounds of the Hiplife icon’s non-resident status, a violation of Article 30, which mandates that candidates must be campus residents and eligible to contest for a Junior Common Room (JCR) position in their hall.
Later, he filed a petition against the University of Ghana’s Student Representative Council (SRC) Electoral Commission following his disqualification from the presidential race and won.
