The police have fired teargas on supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kumasi who were protesting against the Electoral Commission (EC) over their concerns about the voter register.
One of the protesters sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital
Charged protesters attempted to attack a police officer who sought refuge in a house.
One police officer has also been injured after he was attacked by some protesters.
What caused the incident is yet to be established.
