Chaos has erupted at the Ministry of Finance as the NDC’s Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Brigade stages a picket on Wednesday, September 4, protesting alleged misappropriated funds.
The group arrived at the ministry on motorcycles, carrying placards, and singing songs highlighting the current hardships in the country.
Despite a heavy police presence and barricades intended to prevent them from entering the ministry, the protesters managed to breach the barriers, leading to a tense standoff.
The situation quickly escalated as police attempted to control the crowd, resulting in clashes between the two sides.
The ORAL Brigade, comprising the youth wing of the NDC, is demanding accountability and the recovery of funds they claim were mishandled in questionable transactions.
They specifically highlight the $34.9 million Ambulance Spare Parts deal, the GRA SML deal, and the expenditure on the All African Games as examples of opaque financial dealings
