The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has cautioned party supporters in Afram Plains North against engaging in “skirt and blouse” voting, urging them to remain loyal to the party’s candidates.
Speaking at a mini rally in the constituency, Nketiah emphasised that the NDC is the only party committed to the development of Afram Plains.
He also confirmed the dismissal of Kpeli Worlas from the NDC for anti-party conduct after Worlas decided to contest as an independent candidate.
Nketiah warned supporters to be wary of those who might mislead them into believing that top NDC figures, including himself and former President Mahama, support candidates outside the party.
“If you are not careful, they will deceive you that Asiedu Nketiah or President Mahama supports another candidate who is not a member of NDC. Anyone who wears a branded shirt of the NDC and tells you to vote ‘skirt and blouse’, who is the skirt and who is the blouse?
“…When it comes to the NDC as a party, you cannot be a member in half. So, if you are an NDC you are in full,” he said.
