Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has asserted that the current administration has a superior track record in fulfilling its promises, announcing that 80 percent of the commitments made in the 2020 manifesto have been achieved.
Speaking at a media engagement in Accra on Sunday, Dr Bawumia highlighted the government’s dedication to delivering on its pledges and improving the lives of Ghanaians.
He noted that the government also fulfilled 83 percent of its 2016 manifesto promises.
Dr Bawumia stressed that was unlike the opposition National Democratic Congress that only fulfilled 28 percent of its 2012 manifesto
“I think that we have a very pretty record in terms of honouring our promises. We’ve done some work to look at our 2016 manifesto, and what proportion of those manifestos we’ve honoured, and 83 percent have been honoured and when you look at the 2020 manifesto, 2020, even in the midst of all these crises, we are fulfilling or we’ve fulfilled 80 percent of our 2020 promises in our manifesto.”
“My opponent in his 2012 manifesto when he became the president, he only fulfilled 28 percent of his 2012 manifesto, 280 promises, he didn’t fulfil 203 of the 280 promises. So, I think we have a better record as far as fulfilling promises,” he stated.
