Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the country has seen the “most ignoble degeneration” in all sectors of Ghana since 2017.

He said that was because of the current administration’s handling of the country’s affairs, citing significant declines in economic, social, and infrastructural development.

Nketia pointed to several key areas where he believes the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has failed to deliver, including the economy, healthcare, education, and infrastructure.

The NDC’s National Chairman was speaking at the party’s manifesto launch at Winneba on Saturday.

He argued that the mismanagement and poor policies of the NPP have led to widespread hardship and stagnation.

“Since 2017, Ghana has seen the most ignoble degeneration in all areas of our national life. Our economy has collapsed to the extent that we have now introduced new fanciful terms such as haircuts and domestic debt exchange into our economic management lexicon. ”

“For the first time in our history, pensioners who toiled to serve our country and are entitled to a retirement have had to picket to demand their hard savings which they had invested in government bonds,” Nketia stated.
