Dr. Gideon Boako, spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has dismissed claims that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has copied policies from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In an interview on Eyewitness News, Dr. Boako stressed that the NPP’s manifesto is the product of extensive planning and is entirely focused on enhancing the lives of Ghanaians.

He explained that the NPP convened a team of experts to carefully craft the party’s manifesto, ensuring it comprises original, well-thought-out ideas tailored to address the country’s needs.

“The NPP put together a whole team of experts and I must tell you the kind of rigor that has come into play in designing our manifesto. We don’t take delight in copying people’s ideas or putting up policies as a response to what the opponent does.

“What we do most importantly is to focus on the Ghanaian people and how best we can improve lives for the people in the country. our manifesto has nothing to do with or what they postulate.

“We think we have our originality of ideas and everybody knows in this country, that if you want a political party that is known for originality in terms of ideas and novelty, nobody will go outside the New Patriotic Party.

“Whatever we have come up with is something that we have thought through very well and we know will benefit the Ghanaian people. Our policies in no measure do not in any way have influences from the NDC policies,” he stated.
