This year’s challenge drew over 1,000 entries from Junior High School students across the country, all submitting essays on the topic, “The role of the youth in shaping the future of Ghana. What changes would you like to see, and how can young people contribute to making them happen?”
The competition was fierce, involving a rigorous selection process that included an aptitude test and four intense rounds of competition. In the end, Frederick Lokko emerged victorious, scoring an impressive 63 points.
His triumph earned him GH¢10,000, a trophy, a six-month supply of Webie Crunchy Biscuit, and several other prizes.
Since its inception in 2017, the Literacy Challenge has been a beacon of educational excellence in Ghana, encouraging and promoting literacy among the nation’s youth.
