Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has warned Ghanaians against voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
He cautioned that the NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama would repeat his past mistakes, plunging the country into darkness, just as he did during his previous term in office.
Speaking to NPP supporters during a health walk in Takoradi on August 17, ahead of the party’s manifesto launch, Dr. Opoku Prempeh praised President Akufo-Addo’s outstanding leadership, which successfully addressed the intermittent power outages that previously affected Ghanaians.
He urged citizens to reject the NDC at the polls, emphasising that a return to power would only lead to greater challenges.
“The upcoming 2024 election is crucial. For years, Ghana was plunged into darkness, but for the past eight years, God has brought light to Ghana.
“The upcoming polls are a choice between darkness and light. If you make the wrong choice, you risk taking Ghana backwards,” he said.
