The campaign team of Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has suspended its campaign ahead of the launch of the party’s manifesto.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is scheduled to launch the “It is possible” manifesto on Sunday, August 18, in Takoradi in the Western Region.

According to the party, the manifesto will focus on jobs and provide an enabling environment for the private sector.

The party’s running mate who has been campaigning in his home region, the Ashanti Region has thus suspended the campaign tours to prepare for the event.

Citi News sources close to the campaign team say Dr Prempeh is in the Greater Accra Region to participate in a national Council and national executive committee meetings ahead of the launch.

This comes after the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia earlier in the week temporarily suspended his constituency campaign tour to to prepare for the NPP manifesto launch on Sunday.

A statement signed by the Communication Director of the Bawumia campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye noted the tour will resume immediately after the launch.
