The Omanhene of the Bompata Traditional Area, Nana Efa Apenteng, has praised the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the significant developments in his area, particularly in road construction and the provision of essential social amenities such as schools and health facilities.

According to Nana Apenteng, the government is not sufficiently highlighting its achievements for Ghanaians to fully appreciate them. He noted that in his 43 years of rule, he has not witnessed the level of development that this government has undertaken.

The Omanhene, therefore, urged the NPP and its communicators to better publicize these accomplishments, not only within his area but across the country.

Nana Apenteng made these remarks at a durbar of chiefs and the people of Juaso, the capital of the Asante Akyem Constituency in the Ashanti Region.

The durbar, which was also attended by members of the clergy, was held in honour of the NPP’s Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who was on a campaign tour on Thursday, August 15, 2024.

Dr. Prempeh used the occasion to express his gratitude to the chiefs and people of the constituency for their unwavering support and loyalty to the NPP over the years. He urged them to continue placing their trust in the NPP, emphasizing that it is the only party in Ghana that consistently honours its social contract.

He, therefore, called on them to vote massively for his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the party’s Parliamentary Candidate, Lawyer Kwaku Asante-Boateng, in the upcoming December elections.

The entourage of the NPP Running Mate includes Kennedy Agyapong (MP, Assin Central and former Presidential Aspirant; Buttey Smith (National 1st Vice Chairman); Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Ashanti Regional Chairman) and a host of others.
