Ghana’s capital, Accra is set to host a major gospel music event as Grammy-winning artist Kirk Franklin and the renowned contemporary gospel group Maverick City Music bring their Kingdom Live World Tour to the city.
The highly anticipated concert is to take place on Sunday, August 18, at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Christ Temple East.
At a press event held at the ICGC premises on Wednesday, August 14, Ghanaian artist Luigi Maclean, who will perform at the event, encouraged attendees to come with an open heart.
“A graceful heart is essential for worship. Expect something new and transformative, as we will experience the presence of God in ways we’ve never seen before,” Maclean told Channel One TV.
Joining Franklin and Maverick City Music will be other notable Ghanaian performers, including Joe Mettle and Team Eternity.
This concert marks Kirk Franklin’s second performance in Ghana and the debut of Maverick City Music in the country. The 19-time Grammy Award-winning gospel artist is expected to arrive at Kotoka International Airport on the day of the concert, ahead of his performance at the ICGC Teshie branch.
