Two cases of Dengue Fever have been confirmed in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region, following tests conducted on some four persons in the district.
The confirmed cases by the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research are of a 24-year-old female and a 21-year-old male who are both responding to treatment according to a circular signed by the Acting Regional Director of the Ghana Health Service, Dr David Sarpong Opong.
The samples according to the GHS, were taken following an enhanced surveillance.
Health experts in the Oti Region are, however, making efforts to contain the outbreak of Dengue Fever following the detection of the two cases.
