The President and founder of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has commended Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng for his report on the Airbus scandal.

According to him, the report was well done.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) identified former president John Dramani Mahama as Government Official 1 (GO1) in the Airbus scandal. Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Thursday, August 8, Mr. Agyebeng also confirmed the brother of the former president, Samuel Mahama, as Intermediary 5.

Giving a brief overview of the investigations carried out by his office, the OSP confirmed that Mr. Mahama was identified as Government Official 1 and Individual 1 by UK and US courts respectively but played no role in the acquisition.

Speaking on The Big Issue on Channel One TV, Mr. Cudjoe said it was one of the most thorough reports he had come across.

“It is one of the most thorough reports I have actually ever heard. I have not read it, I listened to the entire Facebook live programme where he was virtually reading out the report and at one point, I was asking myself what did I just hear.”

“So I kept going back and back and I said this was a thoroughly well-written, well-done report. I doff my hat out to him,” he stated.
