The Ghana National Gas Company has indicated that it has completed about 60% of its ongoing routine maintenance works which is critical to ensuring efficient and sustainable gas processing for Ghana’s Thermal power generation.

The Head of Corporate Communications at Ghana Gas, Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu speaking to Channel One TV during an inspection of the ongoing maintenance works at Atuabo said its engineers hope to finish the work which started on 1st August ahead of the scheduled 17-day maintenance work.

“I can say that we are doing about 60% because we are far ahead of schedule. Per the advice from the engineers, it means that we are going to finish a day before time, maybe on 16. But they need to run it to see whether everything is on point.

“They will do what we call pushing nitrogen gas pipeline to see whether everything is okay before the plant comes back to life,” he stated.
