Frank Adu Jnr, the former Managing Director (MD) of Cal Bank, says the country must address its negative practices to avoid judgment from future generations.

Delivering the inaugural speech at the Conversation Under the Baobab Tree: Ɔdadeɛ National Dialogue, themed “So Much Things to Say,” in Accra on Wednesday, Mr Adu indicated that corruption, the defence of wrongdoing, and an arrogant display of power had accelerated in the country.

He also noted that there was a rise in public deceit and a lack of empathy for the suffering masses.

The former MD of Cal Bank therefore indicated that if the country did not confront these negative practices, future generations would not be kind to it.

“What has accelerated is abject corruption, the defence of wrongdoing, an arrogant show of power, a cavalier deceit of epic proportions, and the lack of empathy for the suffering masses.

“Over the years, living conditions keep deteriorating, and people are becoming heartless and hopeless as they are subjected to opulent kleptocratic practices of government and government officials.”

“We must confront these negative practices and deal with them; otherwise, future generations will not be kind to us,” he stated.
