The Manager of Harry Stacey and Founder of the Marlins Swim Team, Ralph Quaye, has expressed immense pride in seeing the Ghanaian swimmer compete at the 2024 Olympic Games, calling it a proud moment for Ghana’s swimming fraternity.
Although Stacey did not advance to the semi-finals in the men’s 100m freestyle, finishing 7th in Heat 4 with a time of 51.12 seconds, Ralph Quaye is very proud of his progress.

The Ghanaian swimmer ranked 52nd overall out of 79 swimmers who competed in Heats 1 to 10 of the men’s 100m freestyle event earlier today at the Paris La Defense Arena in France.
“It was a very proud moment seeing him standing on the blocks. Everything that we have envisioned for the past three years, coming to pass and it was an incredible race too. So, I must say it was a very exciting moment.
“I think it is incredible for them because somebody you’ve been training with for the past three years standing at the Olympics, I think it makes them real to them. It makes it clear to them that ‘I can also get there, I know what I need to do and I can be there’ I think this is good for the future of Ghana swimming,” he stated.
