Shamima Muslim, a communications team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has openly expressed her long-standing preference for the party.

She clarified, however, that she has always been able to compartmentalise her personal feelings.

During an interview with Bernard Avle on Channel One TV’s Point of View (PoV) on Monday, Muslim emphasised that her affinity for the party did not influence her journalistic integrity.

She underscored her commitment to professionalism, asserting that she never allowed her personal preferences to compromise her impartiality in her media role.

“I have always had a soft spot for NDC but I have always known how to put those things in different silos. You would know that when I was in the media, the NDC was in power and no one would say that I gave the NDC a free pass at all.

“In fact since I came out on the NDC platform there’ve been several comments and surprise, people were saying that really you had sympathies for us all this time and you did what you did,” she stated.
