The former Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu has stated that the Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame will further be disgraced in he attempts to appeal the Court of Appeals’ ruling on the ambulance purchase trial.

The court acquitted and discharged the Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and set aside the order for Dr. Ato Forson to open his defence by the trial Court in the ambulance case.

In celebrating the victory, Haruna Iddrisu said the Attorney General must swallow his pride.

“I hear the Attorney General, even instead of swallowing his humble pride, is saying that he wants to litigate on this matter. Mr Speaker, we assure him that he will further be disgraced. Because of this matter, if you want to try people, try them on legally meritorious matters. Letters of credit are mere guarantees, I can go into the matter but this is parliamentary.

“So, Mr Speaker, the minority is celebrating the independent courageous decision of the court of appeal in acquitting the minority leader, that should be celebrated. In the realms of separation of powers, at least one of the arms of government has stood up to a calling today that they are independent and courageous and will not be used as a forum for the persecution of its political opponent.
