The Deputy Attorney General, Diana Asonaba Dapaah, has stated that the decision of the Court of Appeal on the ambulance case should end the unfair attacks on the judiciary.

According to her, the judgement in favour of the accused persons signifies that the courts work for the benefit of all Ghanaians.

While reiterating the decision of the Attorney General to appeal, Diana Asonaba Dapaah urged Ghanaians to approach the Supreme Court similarly if the matter is determined by the apex court.

“This decision is an opportunity for us to refrain from the scathing attacks that some groups of people have presented at the judiciary,” she stated.

The Court of Appeal on Tuesday, July 30, acquitted and discharged the first accused in the Ambulance case, Minority leader, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.

The third accused, businessman, Richard Jakpa, was also acquitted and discharged by the Court.

This comes after an order was made by the trial court for Dr Ato Forson to open his defence in the ongoing ambulance case, which was set aside by the Court of Appeal.
