The Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, Richard Ahiagbah is in a stable condition and responding to treatment after his involvement in a serious accident near Konongo, the party has confirmed.
The incident occurred early Saturday morning on the Kumasi-Accra highway near Aduapompo, while Ahiagbah was driving to Kumasi for a scheduled programme.
Preliminary reports indicate that Ahiagbah was the sole occupant of his vehicle when it was involved in a crash with an articulated truck.
In a statement dated Sunday, July 28, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, said, “Mr Ahiagba is in a stable condition and is responding positively to treatment. The attending doctors have advised limiting visitors to ensure Mr Ahiagbah receives adequate rest during his recovery.”
The New Patriotic Party expressed its sincere gratitude to Ghanaians for their outpouring of prayers and well wishes for its Communications Director.

On Sunday, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party’s General Secretary, and other executives visited Richard Ahiagbah at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he is receiving treatment.
