Former President John Dramani Mahama has appealed to Ghanaians to vote for him in the upcoming 2024 elections, promising not to lie to them.
Mahama, who is seeking a return to the presidency after losing the 2020 elections, pledged in front of thousands of supporters when his party launched the campaign in Tamale on Saturday.
He promised to lead with integrity and honesty, vowing not to deceive the people of Ghana.
The former president also outlined his plans for the country, which include improving the economy, investing in infrastructure, and expanding access to education and healthcare.
He emphasised that his administration would prioritise transparency and accountability.
Mahama also criticized the NPP flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for asking Ghanaians to vote for him in the 2024 general elections.
He argued that the youth cannot afford to waste another four years trying out Dr. Bawumia’s unproven leadership. He slammed Dr. Bawumia for his role in the current government, which Mahama claims has mismanaged the economy.
Mahama emphasised that Dr. Bawumia does not deserve the opportunity to lead the country, given his past performance, stating that the youth are clamouring for an experienced hand who will create opportunities for them.
