A major traffic disruption on the Accra-Tema motorway Thursday evening, caused by a hit-and-run incident, has been cleared, allowing motorists to pass through smoothly.
Eyewitnesses reported that a vehicle struck and killed a young girl on the motorway, and she was subsequently hit by another car.
The incident sparked outrage among the local community, who blocked the road in protest, refusing to allow traffic to flow until authorities arrived.
The protest occurred near the Interplast area of the motorway.
However, the road has now been cleared, and traffic is flowing smoothly on the Tema motorway after some Police officers were dispatched to the scene to calm tempers.
