President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has emphasised the need for increased investment in human capital to drive sustainable growth.
Speaking at the 50th anniversary of Arab-Africa Cooperation and the launch of the Arab-Africa Financial Consortium, he highlighted education and skills development as crucial components of this effort.
“One of the key pillars of our partnership is our investment in human capital. Education and skills development are essential in unlocking the potential of our people and driving sustainable growth. BADEA’s significant contribution includes supporting numerous education and training programs across Africa. However, there is still much work to be done,” Akufo-Addo stated.
He stressed the importance of ensuring that every child in Africa and the Arab world has access to quality education, and the need to invest in vocational training and higher education to prepare individuals for the 21st-century economy. By doing so, he believes that a more inclusive and prosperous future can be created for all citizens.
“We must re-double our efforts to ensure that every child in Africa and the Arab world has access to quality education. We must also invest in vocational training and higher education to equip our people with the skills they will need to thrive in the economy of the 21st Century,” he added.
By investing in human capital, the president added, “we can create a more inclusive and prosperous future for our citizens.”
