Legon Swimming Club topped the medal table on Day One of Channel One TV’s National Swimming Championship, securing an impressive 34 medals, including 20 gold, 5 silver, and 9 bronze.

Their swimmers showcased exceptional skill and determination, setting a high standard for the competition.

Defending Champions from the 2023 event Marlins followed closely in second with 26 medals while GH Dolphins, placed third with 22 medals.
The event, held at Accra’s Borteyman Sports Complex, saw a vibrant display of aquatic prowess as more than 200 swimmers from various corners of the country took to the pools.

This prestigious event, now in its second edition, featured competitive swimmers representing a total of 12 distinguished teams, all vying fervently for coveted national recognition.

Amidst an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm and anticipation, organizers, proud parents, and avid supporters converged at the Aquatic Centre to witness the young athletes exhibit their exceptional talents and determination.

The championship, meticulously conducted in accordance with the rigorous regulations set forth by both World Aquatics and African Aquatics governing bodies, affirmed its status as a premier platform for nurturing and showcasing swimming excellence.
The stage is now set for an electrifying continuation of events on day two on Sunday, July 14, 2024.
