The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has highlighted his significant contributions to the development of the northern part of the country, particularly Chereponi.
During a meeting with the chiefs and elders of Chereponi, Dr. Bawumia questioned former President John Mahama’s track record, asserting that despite his tenure as president, Mahama did not initiate any notable projects in Chereponi.
In contrast, Bawumia underscored his accomplishments as vice president, saying he has already made a notable impact through various development initiatives.
Speaking during a meeting with the chiefs and elders of Chereponi, Dr Bawumia said John Mahama has nothing new to offer.
“My main opponent in this election, former president John Dramani Mahama, was president before. I have not been president before. I am vice president, but John Mahama cannot point to one project in Chereponi.
“I can point to many projects as vice president in Chereponi and so if as vice president, I have been able to start many things in Chereponi, as president, I will be able to finish many things in Chereponi.”
