The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has described the 24-hour policy proposed by John Mahama and the NDC as an empty barrel, indicating that it is the reason the NDC flagbearer, and the party communicators are finding it difficult to explain it.
The NPP flagbearer on a campaign platform in Nalerigu in the North East Region accused Mr Mahama, of running away from a possible debate because he was afraid his empty policies would be exposed.
“He says he (Mahama) has a 24-hour economy, but he cannot explain it. It is as empty as an empty barrel; he cannot explain it. None of his people can even explain it.”
“They said they would be exporting lions and elephants, but when we meet…We can debate, and the country will see where our policies lie.”
“That is, we should go; we should give the country an opportunity to listen to us but if he chooses not to debate, I will continue to sell my policies to the people of Ghana, and you will take the decision,” he stated.
