The founder and leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen, has boldly stated that his name cannot be removed from the ballot paper for the upcoming 2024 elections in Ghana.

“The group, Movement for Change, has me as its presidential candidate, and nobody can remove my name from the race; it is not even possible. Who in this country can even try that? We have been in this game for quite a while now; in fact, how is it going to happen?,” he said in an interview on Asempa FM.

The former Trade Minister noted that his confidence stems from his successful mobilisation of ten other political parties to form an alliance, which, according to him, is unprecedented.

“What is even more wonderful is that within a period of months, I have been able to mobilise 10 other political parties to form an alliance that is unprecedented. In Ghana, the history of alliances has not been positive.

“Anytime they go with the intention of forming an alliance, they end up fighting among themselves as to who is going to lead the alliance. But look at mine right from the beginning. This is the first time ten different political entities have come together, and within a meeting, they have been able to select me, Alan, to be its leader,” he stated.
