A catastrophic fire has destroyed numerous wooden structures at Circle ECOMOG in the Greater Accra region.
Igniting at approximately 4 PM, the inferno wreaked havoc, compelling residents to hastily seek refuge and rescue any possessions they could.
Describing the turmoil, a local named Super Scary said, ““It all happened so fast. One moment everything was normal, and the next, there was fire everywhere.”
While the origin of the fire is yet to be determined, the swift escalation of the fire points to the dense arrangement of the structures and the potential presence of combustible materials as factors that intensified the situation.
Investigations by the authorities are underway to ascertain the cause of the disaster.
In the wake of the devastation, the Circle ECOMOG community faces the daunting task of recovering from the loss, with inhabitants combing through the debris of their once homes in search of anything that may have survived the blaze.
