The Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Godfred Dame, has appeared in court for the first time following the broadcast of a controversial conversation by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The recording, involving Dame and Richard Jakpa, sparked accusations of professional misconduct.
He expressed confidence in prevailing out of what he describes as traps laid against him.
“All I can say is that the Lord does not delight in the pleasure of the wicked. Even though they have laid traps for me, I will flee from them. And righteousness will always prevail over evil,” he stated.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) released a 16-minute tape on May 28, as evidence to support the claims made by the third accused, Richard Jakpa, in the faulty ambulance case involving the Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
The recording captured a conversation between Attorney General and the third accused in which Dame allegedly coached Jakpa on the statements to make in court, specifically targeting the Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
