The Asokore Mampong District Court has set a bail amount of GH¢50,000 with two sureties for the actor known as Lil Win, whose real name is Kwadwo Nkansah. This decision came after his arrest on June 3, following his discharge from the hospital.

Nkansah’s apprehension was linked to a vehicular accident he was involved in, which tragically led to the death of a young child aged three.

The bereaved family has been vocal in seeking justice, while the police explained that the delay in Nkansah’s arrest was due to his medical condition.

Facing charges of dangerous driving and causing harm through negligence, Nkansah is currently under investigation, with the prosecution emphasizing the need for his cooperation.

Margaret Adjei-Twum, representing Nkansah, argued for bail on the grounds of his injuries, which include internal bleeding, and his status as a well-known figure unlikely to flee from legal proceedings.

Despite not being fully recovered, Nkansah was brought to court, where a significant number of police officers were present. The hearing has been postponed until June 27, 2024.
