Jobberman Ghana has embarked on a mission to create 8,000 decent jobs for youth ages 15 and 35, women, and persons with disabilities.
Out of the 8,000 jobs, 70% will be reserved for women.
The initiative is being carried out through the Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for Youth (HAPPY) program, a collaborative project managed by a consortium of partners in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and Agri-Impact Limited.
‘The Happy Program’ seeks to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in agriculture while empowering young people to pursue rewarding careers in this vital industry.
Through training and job placement services, we aim to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in various roles within the agricultural value chain.
Our programme is initiated at a crucial time when there is a pressing need to harness the potential of a growing agricultural sector to drive economic growth and youth employment.
Our initiative seeks to provide young jobseekers with competitive soft skills tailored for jobs within the agricultural sector and facilitate the placement of trained youth in formal jobs.
Job placements extend across the entire agriculture value chain, from production to marketing; there’s an opportunity for all.
At the same time, this is a great avenue for employers – including input suppliers, distributors, producers, retailers, processors, service providers, consumers, government agencies, as well as research and development institutions- to find the right candidates for their job openings.
